Drawing on diverse sources of knowledge is significant for reduction of disaster risk and strengthen the community’s resilience. This workshop presents case studies from Southeast Asia and Japan and discusses the role of sharing of knowledge and networking across the cultural, regional and sectorial boundaries in the community-based disaster risk management.
