Since its inception, White Helmets has contributed to the successful process of Regional Meetings on Mechanisms of International Humanitarian Assistance, and it has also coordinated the National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction. The actions implemented during these 20 years based on a work plan grounded in humanitarian volunteering as the cornerstone of a new paradigm that requires local management and community participation, with a view to transforming individuals from potential victims to proactive actors.
