JITU Pasna is the Indonesian version of Post-Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA) that includes (i) the valuation of physical damages and economic losses; and (ii) the identification of human recovery needs based on information obtained from disaster-affected people. The instrument has been instrumental in helping Indonesia formulate better and more need-based recovery plan. Experiences from Indonesia as well as those from neighboring countries might be useful in enriching JITU Pasna and for knowledge exchange and information sharing purposes.
