Over the past decade, organisations have increasingly used a number of innovative methods to improve public awareness and education (amongst other changes) around disaster risk reduction (DRR) to improve resilience. These include using broadcast media, videos, games, music, mobile phones and plenty more in between.
When experts convene at the 3rd World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, we have a special opportunity to celebrate the achievements on Priority Action 3 of the Hyogo Framework Agreement and showcase the most original and the most effective examples of this work, reinforcing the important role media and communication can play in building resilience.
