After 20 years, Michi-no-Eki has entered the 2nd stage and are expected to play the central role for community development. During disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake, Michi-no-Eki played strategic roles to support and assist in reconstruction, by providing networking among the government, municipalities and the communities. We hope to share those experiences with the world communities. Also, reflecting on past experiences, more improvement to the system must be envisaged.
