The research team of Fukushima Future Center for Regional Revitalization-FURE has been working for a research project which aims to systemize academic framework of disaster reconstruction, while supporting rehabilitation and restoration activities from GEJE. This symposium provides progress of the project as well as the direction of the research. Broader discussions will be organized with the cutting edge researchers on nuclear issues from Europe and disaster experts from Asia Pacific and Americas. It provides perspective of disaster restoration and building resilient society by providing scientific view on the impact of cascading disasters and restoration process.
